SBDC MISSION

Small Business Development Center The mission of the South Dakota Small Business Development Center is to help new entrepreneurs realize their dream of business ownership and assist existing businesses in their efforts to remain competitive.

SBDC offices provide professional, confidential, and no- cost business consulting services, including one-on-one counseling and training, to individuals starting a business or looking for ways to improve an existing business. The SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

HISTORY OF SBDC

Business Development

Since its inception in 1985, the South Dakota Small Business Development Center has helped clients obtain more than $200 million in financing and has consulted on projects where over 5,500 jobs were created or retained. Contact us for more information on how we can help you.

ACCESSIBILITY

The SBDC has two locations in the region. The main office is located at District III. A satellite office in Mitchell is located on the Dakota Wesleyan University campus in partnership with The Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship. If neither location is convenient, consultants will travel throughout the region to meet with clients. To schedule an appointment, please contact the SBDC at 605-665-0751.
